Description
Drawing of a Geiko, or another word for Geisha. Geiko is the more correct term for a fully fledged Geisha.Toodle on paper to a speed painting CG. Yes I cheated with some of my stock textures from my kimono collection.

Yes! I know, I love how sexy they can be in so many layers. In Japan, the more layers, the sexier. It was said to "Hint at the woman beneath." In a sense, it's a little like bondage with all that stuff. :3 ( And I do wear kimono, so I have an idea

I like speed paintings though. Not just mine, though. I think they open a huge window into the true artist behind the work. Long, drawn out works often are restrictive, they seem too controlled. I like high finished art, but I like the compulsive stuff too. I like seeing the full potential all laid out, but I also like to see what the soul has to say at the spur of the moment, ya know?

Agreed. Alot of times for myself, getting some artworks complete are merely putting my technical skills to work & having the initial rough sketch & concept laid out.

i love how it flows. if you get what i mean. the colours and the kimono + the background all flow very nicely. it's hard to see that these days.i love the detail you put in her hair and the expression on her face. (not to mention the detail on her kimono too)

It looks so..technically correct to me. I know this is one of your passions so you are really familiar with how they look, and your knowledge just gives this image a whole new dimension. The expression on her face is delicate and beautiful, and she just looks so...REAL.
