that where ground to dust by the dogs of war. . . .Yes, this is what a speed paint of mine looks like. I usually never post them, as they're more so for coloring expiriments, but this was more for one.
However, a speed paint for me is anything that doesn't take 8+ hours to complete. Original sketch scanned from my sketch book, CG in photoshop with minor bits done in painter 8.
I've been abusing Shavera so much, when's the last time I was nice???

ooh! i really like this one.. i like its the bloody bandaged arm.. (yeah I went through a stage) to me, i find it very reflective of myself. Even with the wing that, to me, appears to be disapearing in the wind.. (if thats not exactly how you interpret it, meh, art if how someone interprets what they see..) lol I really like it :] *fav*

This is beautiful! The colours are the best thing for me, I especially love the shiny silky grey of her hair, and the smoky nature of her wings, almost like they're merging with the air and becoming part of it.

Perhaps the most favourite of mine from your gallery. Probably becouse of the all out darkness, and the right side, withe the fading lines of her wing. I like the bandages and the blood on her hands, but her legs are too large.

It's all photoshop except for the initial drawing of the figure, and even the lineart has been tweaked quite a bit with photoshop.

You PhotoShop people are friggin lucky. I have to use an eraser for a similar effect. I call it the HORRIBLE SMUDGE style. Not as good as yours though.

Not really, considering anyone can download photoshop. ( <3 like adobe really cares. ) When I do natural media ( which happens as much as a solar eclipse, truly. ), I use these things you can get that look like a rolled up piece of paper that's sort of point at the end. It smudges so much better then an eraser or your fingers for that matter. You can also buy a white charcoal to blend. I blend everything when I have done charcoal, so instead of black and white and shades of grey, it's usually a blue scale. Quite fun. :3

Hmm I've always wondered what those pointy paper things are for? I take it you've had some art classes that have more than colored paper and glue. (Not ripping on construction paper or Elmers glue mind you.)

Not really. Art classes that I took ( or attempted to ) were a waste of time. I tried to take one my junior year of high school, but ended up dropping the course because of how. . . cheap. . . it was. I mainly learn about goodies by shopping around Hobby Lobby or Michaels for three hours. X3

Hmm, never heard of "Hobby Lobby," but if you've gone to college then Im sure you'd see that alot of student art looks just like pre school stuff like paper mache ducks with one leg and paintings of blotches that took less than 5 minutes.
(I actually look at the bottoms to see if I can find a name in crayon.)

I think the one thing that really jumps out to me besides the wonderful facial expression, is how the wing on her left fades out and flows almost seemlessly into the background.
