I drew Gaster without his head cracks because this happens before his fall therefore his head should be fine (and he should look more like a skeleton?)
THEORY TIME: Since Gaster is the one who created flowey (because he mentions using the first flower to blossom after Toriel left, and Alphys didnt know Toriel) its more than sure that he created the DT extraction machine. And so the topic: What if he used Chara's Determination (because since its a human soul it wont turn to dust)on the flower and that's why flowey acts in such a horrible way? Because so far no other humans had fallen down yet so the only Determination source HAD to be chara's soul.
I'd also like to say that, maybe, the creation Gaster fell into wasnt the core but FLOWEY. Because although the gaster followers say "they say he created the core" and that he "fell into his creation" the core doesnt have time/space distortion abilities, but if Gaster (and his followers) ''fell'' into Flowey the many resets that Flowey did could make Gaster (and his followers) "shatter" and fall in different timelines therefore ''erasing him'' (and his followers) from his original timeline/world.
And where does Sans and Papyrus fit in all this?
Well... i have no idea.. maybe they're pieces of Gaster that just happened to be in the same timeline and decided to stick together as "brothers"???

What if Flowey Sans and Papyrus were Gaster's experiments and Gaster put different doses of determination (Chara's determination), like the most determination on Flowey, that's why he can reset and load, the Sans, who can remember every timeline and then Papyrus, who may or may not know what is going on. Then, because of Flowey's resets, something went wrong in one of the timelines and Gaster and his followers got erased (maybe he was working on another, more complex experiment, like something to brake the barrier) and ''fell'' into his creation.
(I don't know where I was going with the last part,sorry)

I do have heard of and made my own theories on deltarune that I was thinking of writing, but until chapter 2 comes out we'll just have to wait. But let's be real, deltarune surely has deeper connections with undertale, even though Toby said that they aren't connected, there are many things that show that Gaster exists in the world of deltarune and there is a theory that he created deltarune. All the easter eggs he has been leaving in undertale shows that Toby has been thinking of the undertale/deltarune connection since he had been thinking of making deltarune first but then he made undertale.

Dont worry dude, dont push yourself. When i was realllly into undertale i was looking for theories left and right, however now i pretty much just want to read the ones i come across in my tumblr/twitter feed.
It just feels more natural and less forced, although when chpter 2 comes out, imma be there to theorize

That's what I said. Alphys created Flowey by putting determination in a flower. The logs you read in the true lab are Alphys's logs, except for "Dark, Darker, Yet darker."
