Oh boy, I would crap my pants if I saw something like this. Do tell me where do you come up with these things, they are dark but just appealing gorgeous. You have a wonderful eye with a lot of creativity. As someone who goes back and forth on my own art pieces, pieces like this are truly inspiring.

Thanks, I appreciate you taking the time to check these out and add insightful comments. Not to sound too obscure or whatever but a lot of these come about of their own accord. I literally do end up surprised to some degree and look at the final works with a similar sentiment as the one you just expressed, one of ... "wow, where did THAT come from?" I wish it was something I could say I could control but more often with works like these the understanding comes after the fact, after the creative aspect is done. I feel more of an affinity for the process described by those who say they are ridden by spirits than to anything I've read in art-history books.

So, it's when you try to make it happen that it never works. When you are able to just let go and let whatever is there flow through you (artist as a conduit) that these results come. Again, really appreciate your taking the time. Hope that does not sound too flaky and nuts. It is what it is!

Oh no, I totally understand. I'm like that with my writing and plotting. Sometimes my mind just takes me on a journey and I'm impressed at where I went with it without forcing it. A lot of great art comes out from within when you just allow it to flow. You can always perfect it, but many times you're surprised at what just comes out of you, and it's just a wonderful side of you that you try to understand but the best way is to be happy and grateful of yourself and let yourself be.

this is so gorgeous, disturbing and inspiring all at once, in a alchemical mysterious ancient way
the eyes are superb, the beards (?) are superb, the 3 sitting (women?) figures are awesomely creepily shaped, and the fact that at first the focus all attention and one starts thinking: "wait, all i see are 3 strange women-like creatures sitting, where the hell are Magi?" and then you notice the powerful humans partly-armless shapes growing above the sitting figures!
did i already say it's gorgoeus?

Christmas, man! It's Christmas, not Halloween! :-]

It's like the 3 magi of the apocalypse. Excellent otherworldly depiction.

Senecal In reply to cogwurx [2007-12-27 18:01:51 +0000 UTC]

Hilarious. I debated making direct reference to the religious ceremonies but what the heck, just another mechanism for coping with the "reality" of ultimate destruction I suppose.

Still, I could not help but wonder what the forces of anti-empathy ( shall we call it... evil??) might think on the night of the birth of a deity made man. Would they then not send their own emissaries to deliver their own announcement, or would it not be allowed by the Father of the Tri-part God?

Then, maybe it is not even part of this dimension or reality, but another alien and forgotten ( or far into the future?)

Like Mulder, I Want To Believe.

Finally, I might have just been drinking waaaaay too much this week.
Anyway, I appreciate you checking it out and hope ya have a good holiday!!!

Holiday was really good. Lots of fun family time.
