Description Yeah, I'm a bit embarrassed about this because this guy has a huge fangirl following. He's a villain from the Aladdin TV series. I got bored one night, found a club on DA dedicated to Aladdin villains and went on youtube. Turns out that for a tv villain he's pretty awesome!

My fave quote of his has to be 'Agrabah. Not a particularly magical place. Why conquer it? Oh, just because it's THERE!'

I need to do more Jafar art. I keep forgetting.

Holy cow... AMAZING. It's...It's just... Wow. You really captured him, despite being more realistic! I love it! I'm always trying to find realistic works that get his face right...
Yes. He has a LOT of fangirls (me being included. Though, I'm probably not as wild as some out there. ) Clubs, all that. But that's because, yeah, he IS awesome! I just love the TV series, and partly is because he's in it. He's a very well-done character/villain, I think. Though I believe they should've gone into his background, at least a little.
Well, anyway... AWESOME JOB!

Thanks very much! I agree with you really - he is quite charismatic and it would have been interesting to know more about him. Have you read the fanfic 'Antiphony'? I think that's a great idea for his backstory.

Forget it! You know, it's hard to find works with characters like him and in high-quality style like yours, because so little of adult and good artists interests disney heroes.
I think this villain is rather interesting person. It's a pity that his inner world wasn't revealed in Aladdin series. I'll be so much glad if someday you decide to draw another one picture of Mozenrath or maybe with Xerxes too!

This is really excellent. I'm not an artist by any means, but I love the way his face is in shadow and your eye is drawn to the sphere of magic, the folds of the cloak draped over his arm, and those deep purple shades in the background. It all comes together to create something very impressive.

I don't blame you for fearing his fanbase. I love this character, but he inspires some truly outrageous fangirling. I guess that's what happens when a character that strikes a chord with the fans only appears in a handful of canon episodes.

Some fangirls can be vicious. If they don't like how you draw something you're as good as dead! I'm hoping to draw him again before long though. I might try to get a bit better at backgrounds - I was hoping to do a Moze v. Jasmine scene since I thought that one in that Dagger Rock thing was awesome.

I adore his expression. So haughty! And the background and textures are GORGEOUS!

I'd love to draw Mozenrath again, but so far the only idea I have is Moze sitting in a modern Japanese restaurant asking what kind of sushi is that he's eating. When the waiter tells him, he looks around frantically and calls for Xerxes.

So, I am a sick puppy. -_-; And for some reason thought you'd like me to share that with you. XD;

Again, ADORE the picture - the way you did his magic and the highlights on his glove is awesome and original - a ball of blue pain there. Duck and cover, Aladdin.

Thanks for your lovely comment! I love hearing from Mozenrath fans, and I especially love looking at their art - you've done some really cute pieces of him As for that idea you had, are you going to do it as a comic?

I'm thinking I'll do an epic battle picture of Mozenrath v. Jasmine - my fave episode has to be that Dagger Rock one where Jasmine kicked his ass and got him all mad! It was nice to see her doing something other than shout 'Aladdin!'

Thanks so much! LOL I didn't remember him either, and I watched a bunch of Aladdin when I was a kid. Only person I remembered was this mermaid girl, Saleen I think she was called? I hated her guts.
