this is for *Aryenne 's contest, to draw your characters together based on a song lyric.

I don't actually much like either song, but this line jumped out at me "It's now or never" so yeah.

I'm working on a sculpture for this, but I was bored, and erm...not doing my physics and math essays...so here ya go XD

so, here we see aryenne and logarithym. log is very rude and likes to bully others, especially in his forest. here, he's running after aryenne, and just as they get to the forest's edge, aryenne changes into a bird/ phoenix and flies away!

aryenne is a shapeshifter, and although log has wings he doesn't really like to fly. or leave his forest.

so, this is in pen, and though I LOVE pen I had to sketch out a bunch of stuff to get the proper background/ scene right, since I wanted it abstract but still noticable. I made the areas around log very dark and the strokes more circular, to show the whole dark evil forest type thing, and where aryenne is taking off to be light, because it's the sky.

I'm not sure I like the branches on the right, but I needed something there and I wanted to show entrappment.

I colored it a little, but blue on aryenne and some green and brown. I'm glad I did, it looks better like that.

also, random, but for some reason when I look at this now it reminds me of the scene in the my little pony movie when the trees throw branches at the ponies XD

anyways...

about 2-3 hours, pen and pencil crayon 14x17 paper

I do have prints available, $12 for an 8x10 (s/h included) and they will be photo prints, hand signed, and much better quality than this *points up* photo. note me or comment if interested.
