i'm reposting a couple stories on wattpad and im lucky that i dabble in both writing and drawing so i can make my own covers lolthat first ever pic of chaiyo (back then just an unnamed merdude) was just gonna be a oneshot, but after i developed it into a story and everything, i thought about it again and yknow that pic is actually just a great summary of what happens in the series. so i tweaked it. added more bubbles, changed the shade of the watery depths, fixed some fish anatomy errors (picky about having all the right fins in all the right places), and i shifted the shadows/highlights just a bit.
i think it makes a difference!
and hopefully ill actually be able to participate in mermay this year!

AHA in any other situation you'd be 100% right, but i'm an asshole. chaiyo's a betta fish merdude and betta fish can possibly drown under certain conditions (like if they can't reach the surface of the water and they run out of dissolved oxygen)
but even if he doesn't drown, he still oughta be worried. he's a nice lil morsel wrapped up for a bigger fish to come along and... yknow
