Experimenting with new styles and colors like always~ Except for the first picture, I didn't had the patience to work on backgrounds on the rest of the pictures orz

1st Picture Lotium
Character: Lyzlot

Lyzlot's mother died from Exanimia (a disease) when he was 7 years old. After that, his father started mistreating him, blaming his son for not dying instead. From the shock and immense sadness, Lyzlot's hair turned from brown to grey a couple days after his mother's death.

Lyzlot met Shinkami when he was 9 years old. They played a lot together, and would spend all the day out in the fields until late, since Lyz wanted to be away from his home and father for as long as possible.

At 13, his father, having sold all the family assets to buy "Delain", a drug that made him hallucinate that his wife was still alive, started physically abusing Lyzlot to take on odd, but well payed jobs, so he could buy more of that substance. Soon the young boy ended up in the capital's red light district.

Lyzlot didn't want Shinkami to know about his father's worsening behavior and about the new "job". He wanted his friend to maintain his innocence and enjoy the childhood he himself couldn't have. Not wanting to lie to his best friend, Lyzlot said only a goodbye to Shinkami and ran away from home to settle in the capital. He returned 2 years later to join Shinkami's school and is since then living in the dorms, but frequently visiting the capital to please women as well as his own carnal desire.

Lyzlot is a joined name that means "Grey haired lizard". Lotium is a... very common body fluid used for bleaching/hair cosmetic in ancient times...

:Art-comment: I wanted to try painting something with perspective and background and...a boy running crying omg. I'm a bit mean to my characters (/w)

2nd Picture Silentium
Character: Lyn

Lyn was created after condensing 100 souls from persons who died or were suffering from Exanimia. Her project name is "bios beta".
Shinkami was watching over her during her creation progress. He talked to her, told her about how his day went and often ended up falling asleep on the cocoon-like machine she was in. Until her body was created, Lyn was purely a mass of floating souls, yet she gave off small signs of life whenever Shin was talking to her.
Shin gave her the name "Nyl", which means "nothing" or "zero", because she was practically made out of nothing that can be seen or touched. (At the start, Shin couldn't see anything in the cocoon, but as the 100 souls kept condensing, they started taking form and giving off a pale green glow.)

A couple days before her completion, the scientists lied to Shinkami that the project failed, and reversed Nyl's name to Lyn, in order to conceal her identity from him. "Lyn" means "life".

Although she's immune to any decease, including Exanimia, Lyn has the horizontal and vertical marks that exanemic patients usually display on their skin. They're there because of the souls she's made off. She's the perfect bios project, who overcame the failures of the two projects (Lerato and Shinkami). Yet she has one flaw: She can hear the souls she's made off talk in her head. When all 100 souls start talking, she's pretty much deaf.

She doesn't like talking either, and it's usually hard to communicate with her. Her element is wind and she completes missions flawlessly, yet is known to leave allies behind in battle.

Silentium in Latin means "silence". She's deaf to all sounds coming from her environment most of the time. The only thing she can hear, even when all 100 souls are talking, is the wind.

:Art-comment: I wanted to draw something with...mixed colors? I don't know. Lyn is a very difficult character to draw actually! There's a whole world exploding in her head, yet on the outside she's always expressionless. She's an odd character, in terms of how she acts on a social aspect, which makes her even harder to draw. ;0;
Ah and the blue snake symbolizes Shinkami, since his Anima looks like that~

3rd Picture Fuga
Character: Lerato

Canaria, a type of prophesies, are short songs, or sung words that escape from a dying person.
Lerato is the only one able to sing Canaria without dying afterwards. Yet sometimes his body starts singing without his mind's consent. The songs escape him and he's not entirely able to control his singing until much later in the story.

The escaping songs usually occur when a new Canaria is being created. At that moment, Lerato's eyes crystallize and he temporally turns blind. For each new prophesy he sees a vision, which makes him start a delirium of words and melodies, that describe what he's seeing in that prophesy. He usually doesn't like it when that happens, because most visions aren't pleasant ones, and the songs that escape him are usually depressing. It also frightens him that he can't control his body.

Once a Canaria has been created through the aforementioned way, Lerato turns back to normal again. He memorizes all the Canaria, and can call them up whenever he wishes to sing them again, though he's usually changing their melodies to something less sad.

Fuga in Latin means "to escape". In music Fuga or "Fugue" is a compositional technique in two or more voices. It starts with a theme that is introduced at the beginning and which recurs frequently throughout the whole composition.

4th Picture Ailud
Character: Kayun

Kayun volunteered to become a test-subject at the age of 9, in order to cure his sister's sickness. He was the only one to succeed in synchronizing with Lerato, something that many failed to do up until that moment. Kayun received year long special-forces training, and thus specializes in all types of combat.

Although he's kindhearted, he doesn't hesitate to kill for the sake of the ones he loves. He doesn't care about what happens to himself and devotes his life solely to Lerato.

Ailud is the name given to his weapons, when referring to them both. They are versatile weapons and can turn into guns or knuckles. The one in his right hand is called "Dulia" (Ailud is actually Dulia read backwards), and the one in Kayun's left hand is called "Latria".

“Dulia” means “worship” or “veneration”. In Greek, “Dulia” is the sort of veneration which slaves pay to their lords, and comes from the Greek word “doulos” which means “slave”. It symbolizes Kayun's "slavery" of being a test-subject for the government.
“Latria” is the short of veneration paid only to gods, and derives from the Greek verb “latreuo”, which means “to worship the gods” or “adore” and “love someone very much”. It symbolizes hope for Kayun, as well as his fondness toward Lerato.

The twin guns are identical and easy to use, yet Dulia is a bit heavier than her sister.

:Art-comment: Kayun is the manliest in the cast (ok Lyzlot too) which is giving me quite some troubl sometimes since I cant draw him as manly as I'd wish!! But maybe that's a good thing lol. Anyway~ I must admit I love drawing his muscles aaaah Also his weapons ARE A BITCH TO DRAW I SWEAR! YOU CANT EVEN IMAGINE HOW MANY CONCEPT SKETCHES I HAVE OF THEM! Their transformation from gun to knuckle is a really tricky thing to build in a design! I have 5-6 different designs of them oh gosh but I really think I'll go with this simpler one BECAUSE THE OTHER ONES ARE UUUH *explodes from details*
Also, the lightning was so much fun! EVEN THOUGH IT'S A BIT WEIRD IN SOME PLACES LOL

Also! Thank you very much guys for your feed back on my censoring-problem! The sweet gave me the perfect idea so I'll go with it!
Aaah and sorry if I'm super slow at replying :C I injured my hand a couple days ago and apparently it's still healing since I'M AN IDIOT AND JUST WON'T LET IT orz
