Again, a collection of some NuError OCs drawings from my tumblr. I'm gonna rant about them again, sorry ;u;

Experimenting with new brushes and styles like usually~ It's really fun trying to create new color schemes as well And also backgrounds/foregrounds. I'm trying to step out of my comfort zone and draw stuff that I've never worked on before (/ °0°)/ *stalactites for example...HOW DO YOU DRAW THEM LOL*

It's a short summary I wrote about the story and setting, to make things easier.... I'm sorry if the plot/setting/everything is a bit confusing ;7; It's very big and I left a lot of stuff out, which I plan on adding later lol *also sorry for any possible grammar mistakes uuuh... english is not my native language sobbb*

1st Picture Lacuna
Character: Kayun

Born in a poor family, Kayun volunteered to become a test-subject at the age of 9 against his parents will, in order to save his 5 year old sister, who was suffering under an already very progressed stage of Exanimia. With the money he would get for every month of surviving as a lab rat, his parents could pay for medication to keep their daughter alive a little longer.

Short after starting his life as a test-subject, Kayun got assigned to take part in the Alpha-Limiter experiment, the goal of which was to find a person compatible to the Bios Alpha living weapon, known as Lerato. More than 5000 test-subjects failed to synchronize so far, ending up being killed by the Bios. After another 59 subjects were killed that day, Kayun turned out to be the first and only one able to synchronize with the also 9 years old Lerato.

That fortunate fact gained Kayun the title of the Alpha-Limiter. He started being treated as VIP by the scientists and the state, while his family began receiving an even higher monthly compensation, and was finally able to fully save their daughter from the Exanimia disease.

At the age of 13, Kayun got fatally cut in two by another test-subject in a surprise attack. He miraculously survived because of a protective seal Lerato had secretly placed on him when they were 9. Howbeit, Lerato thought his best friend didn’t survive the attack and went berserk, killing the culprit but also other innocent test-subjects and scientists present.

With Lerato’s mental instability threatening every successful progress made so far, the scientists decided to erase the incident as well as Kayun from Lerato’s memory. From that day on, Lerato’s memory is being erased again and again every 6 months, or whenever he gets too attached to Kayun and starts having flashbacks of that incident, which trigger his mental instability anew.

Kayun tries to live with having to re-introduce himself to his childhood friend, and pretend they are complete strangers meeting for the first time. He wishes to find a way to stabilize Lerato’s mental state and restore his memories.

Lacuna in Latin means "hole" or "gap". "Lacunar amnesia" is a type of amnesia where all memories of a certain incident are missing, creating a memory-gap.

2nd Picture Nalyd
Character: Lerato

At a later part of the story, Lerato loses control of his powers. He creates a prophecy that tells about Kayun dying, which fulfills instantly.

Feeling that he killed his friend with his own words, Lerato completely loses his mind and goes berserk. When Shinkami and Lyn manage to defeat him, he transforms into a huge crystal, enters a coma and starts having a never ending dream.

In that dream he wanders aimlessly through a crystal blue ocean, which turns blood-red in some places. Every time he comes across a scarlet blot and makes contact with it, a part of his lost memories is restored. Ironically, the full restoration of his memories finally stabilizes his mind, something Kayun has been wishing to accomplish ever since they were little.

Grieved by his friend's death, he starts singing, creating new Canaria, prophecies, twisting the ancient words so that they can be perceived as normal words to the humans hearing them. That way he gives instructions to Shinkami and Lyn, in one last desperate try to save Kayun. Yet the words also have a lethal meaning in their original ancient language.

Nalyd is Lerato’s Pure crystal name. When read backwards, it means "Son of the Sea".

Character: Lerato

And the Pure was stained
And as punishment it received a name
The black nightingale now sang

s o uƃ o ɟ ɯ ʎ s o nl

Whenever Kayun is away on missions, the scientists lock Lerato in a specially modulated underground room, for their and Lerato’s own safety.

Since he gets bored easily in there, Lerato spends his time casting ice-spells and playing around with them, creating ice sculptures resembling Kayun or various other humans or animals. When he gets bored of that, he starts singing, mostly Canaria (prophesies).

Every time Lerato unties his hair, he secures his hair ornament around his neck in order not to lose it in the dark. His tied up hair looks like this: shinkamilyn-sakonma.tumblr.com…

The thing in the middle of his chest is his heart. He doesn't have a human heart, but a crystal. When it turns from red to blue, Lerato is unable to move.

Luscinia Obscura is the name of Lerato’s Anima. In Latin it means "Black Nightingale". The ends of six strands of Lerato’s hair are black, as well as his fingers. *but sometimes I forget to draw that detail lol*

4th Picture Desperationis
Character: Shinkami

Although Shin's element is Earth and he can turn his body to sand, he's dreaming of being able to fly every since he was little. On days where the wind is strong and has the right direction, he turns to sand and returns back to normal once the wind has taken him high enough.

The black cape he's wearing is both for protecting his skin from the sunlight, and works as a parachute as well.

That desperate wish to fly comes from his connection to Lyn, who's Anima is an eagle. Since Lyn's element is wind, she can stay midair for as long as she wants.

5th Picture Ninemia
Character: Lyn

Lyn was created by fusing 100 souls of persons who were suffering under Exanimia. Therefore she's immune to this and any other disease. The bad thing is that she's hearing the voices of the souls in her head, making it difficult to communicate with the people around her. Thus, she is almost as good as deaf when all 100 souls talk at the same time.

She was created in the same science-facility like Shinkami and they are meant to complete one another, but none of them know that.

She's usually rather annoyed when there's no other way but to engage in a conversation. Instead she prefers inspecting people, especially starring at Shinkami, and is excellent at lip-reading.
Lyn also hates Lerato with passion, because he cut off Shin's hand at some point in the story.

Ninemia in Greek means "calm wind".
