My side of a trade with Here's your rikku!!! I hope you like ittt!!! I really enjoyed drawing this, and it taught me a lot!My friend said that she looks sunburnt...and there are lots of proportional problems with this which I won't list but I'm sure you can see!!!
For people that look at this and think it is hard to do I will just say that it is not as hard as it looks! Just start by using a light pencil such as 2B for the outlines and base shading, and then progress up the B's to slowly build the shading up! And remembeR! You are drawing a 3D object, not a 2D picture! Keeping that in your mind can help out a lot!!
Pencils, little at a time over 3 days!

Hey, now that i look at it closer i see what you mean by a few mistakes in proportion. But i guess for a sketch i think the proportion is quite good considering you didn't use any guidelines or anything. Oh i think the ear is a bit too small for the face, and the lining of the eyes has a very very small error in it concerning the lower sections. I like how you did the light affects on her nose, it softly defines the bridge, and how you drew the hair makes it look quite realistic. Also when i do some of my facial sketches i go over it with a piece of cotton wool or a material which blends the pencil work and creates soft shadows, then i use a kneading eraser and go over the areas of where i think light would be. Um.. This affect really changes a picture so if you are going to try it make sure you do it on an experimental piece just to see how you like it, also some pencils will not blend with other colours. I noticed a lot of Derwant Pencils don't, but faber castelle works fine, but yeah you can also buy pencils which are specially suited to blending, i think you can by them from most art shops at around $1 to $2 a piece. Really excellent work!

Thanks for the advice! I will definitely try that! But actually I don't like smooth shading with sketches, I like my sketches to retain it's original pencil lines as much as possible, so i very rarely blend, except maybe for a underlayer! Next time i sketch I'll blend like you said and then i'll buz u wid da results! ^_^

the time and care is really seen in this absolutely brilliant picture! Rikku is one of my faves and i am amazed at how much your picture actually looks like her! It's fantastic! the tones are incredible, she seems so alive!
