Description Inking in Sai is a dream. Used it for this and the one before, and I'm never using PS to ink again lol.

This is Kot, known only as "Kettleson" outside of Aheya due to his late mother Kettle's renowned influence on political relations with the Deru and the Sea Wolves. These two groups erroneously characterize Kot and his family as Aheyan royalty and vie for their favor and allegiance. Recently the Deru have invited him to their country (as a political hostage), which is met with little interest. Rightly Kot asserts such things have nothing to do with him.

Aheyan life is substantially more primordial and harsh than that of other peoples of the world, and as such, Kot is occupied with community and survival. He is quiet and pro-active, as well as a diplomatic speaker, due to the misplaced importance put upon him by other countries.

I like reading your descriptions. It makes these characters to feel more complete.

I started using SAI the past week. It feels a lot easier to handle. I can't say much since I don't have much experience with digital painting (barely 2 months), but compared with Photoshop, I'm liking how accesible SAI is, as it has every tool in front of you, and it's not that heavy.

Thanks for taking the time to read!

Sai's definitely more accessible since it's specifically designed for art, while Photoshop's purpose has always leaned more towards photo editing. It's hard for me to find my way around Sai though since I haven't been using it long either! But I'm definitely gonna stick with it for inking.

I really dig Kot's new hairdo! Also, agreeing with what ~NkoGnZ said, I like how calm he looks.

Thanks man! I've been dissatisfied with his hair for like months now, but was always too unmotivated/uninspired to experiment. But now I finally did! And glad you like his pose/expression

Thanks man, thanks to all the practice and new approaches I've been experimenting with, I've found how to make these characters cleaner and simpler but more dynamic at the same time. I'm liking the direction it's taking!

Glad you like his pose/expression! I figured he needed to be portrayed in a way that better suited him.
