Could James Cameron direct one of the new Star Wars movies?

Perhaps if he'd been involved back in the '80s we might have seen something like this character - an Imperial Terminator - make an appearance?

Or maybe not... but I just wanted to draw a Star Wars / Terminator crossover... and here's the result!

I don't think a Terminator could be a 'Sith Lord' even if it does have a "learning computer" for a brain - but I think it would have "detailed files" on how to use a lightsaber (did you notice the T2 references there? lol). And it's giving off some kind of electrical discharge - not force lightning.

At first I just drew the Terminator character - but ended up adding the Emperor, the Royal Guards and Strormtroopers to add some interest to the background.

I can't imagine a character in Star Wars wearing sunglasses - but I thought I had to keep them as they're such a familiar part of the Terminator character. I tried to make subtle changes to make them look a little bit more 'space age' though.
