Just a parting shot for the year. My Bandai Enterprise refit model. Not really much of a model, but a real nice little representation of this ship. My projects for the coming year, are the 1/350th Enterprise tos, and constitution class refits. Merry Christmas, and a happy new year to all!Robert.

I'm scared of starting this one, the paint scheme, with the aztec pattern, and the unholy bloody pearlescent paints!
Not to mention, the lighting. AAAARRRGGGGLLLLL!
IT will be GLORIOUS!!

Hey man!
I saw a great page somewhere about the original airbrush artist
that Robert Wise hired to do the paintwork on the refit Enterprise
from STTMP. Can't remember exactly where but it was fascinating!
Cleared up a lot of the mojo from the incredible paint job on that epic
model. Might have been a link on the starship modeler site.
I'll look around and see if I can find it again.

He's putting out a book, and you're right, it's "somewhere". He's trying to crowdfund a restoration of the original paint job on the refit model, and a bunch of vfx tech guys want to film a bunch of scenes of her, shooting around the galaxy!

A friendly tip. Don't buy the polar lights kit. It's better to customize your own. It's a lot cheaper and the ship will look better with the custom circuitry
