History:

Fea was born into a family of mystics and… liars. They were gypsies and fortune tellers at a circus, and calling spirits were their show to capture their audience’s attention. And their show was the most popular because of their believable effects. Fea and her sisters were one of her parents’ ‘spirits’ and helped them with their stage lights or effects. This was her family’s job and it didn’t mean they believed in it.

Though when one of the audience approached Fea after the show, he asked her to be his apprentice and show her what summoning spirits truly like. Oddly enough, he had no reason of why he wanted Fea to be his apprentice but out of curiosity, Fea agreed to it.

At first, her new master taught her the basic skills with the chants and spirituality for a while. But a few weeks later, he had lost this mask of being a master of calling the spirits; he was merely a fanatic of the show and voodoo, gypsies, mystic powers, magic, etc, not knowing that Fea’s family are a bunch of phonies. He wanted Fea’s “powers” and believed that he could get it by killing her to steal her soul and trap it in a crystal ball. He simply learned this from just a book he borrowed from a library.

In turn, it did not work and it backfired. Fea was genuinely learning this whole time even if she was oblivious to his plans. Thinking it was worth a try, she called onto spirits through a chant and possessed the dolls that was around the man’s (room full of his obsession) hideout. He was hysteric and so was she but he became too shocked that he bolted out, not knowing that seeing real spirits was his fear even though it was his dream to experience this.

Taken up an interest of what she acquired, she kept his things and learned on her own, leaning more into voodoo magic. It did make her wonder why she can summon spirits and her parents could not when they were doing a similar practice. Thus, she spoke to one of the spirits that she usually calls upon and the answer was because she believes in them unlike her parents who doesn’t, using this practice simply for money and to trick people. Although, she was given a warning not to be reckless of summoning them for there are also evil spirits who will defy her and could possibly hurt her.

Luckily, an invitation answered her and to help her acquire these magical abilities, taking this opportunity without saying goodbye and explanation to her family.
