History: Raised by a strict yet poise mother, Valerie didn’t really have the freedom that most teens had. Unlike her siblings who were free as a bird, she was caged in her room to study. Though she knew that her mother just wanted the best for her, she also wanted to know how it feels like being able to walk around the streets and make friends. As time passed, Val grew to be a very intelligent and studious girl. The teachers adored her and she kept getting good grades.

     The next day, after walking out the school building a group of girls crowded around her. They began pushing her around and telling her that she only got good scores because the teachers love her or that she cheated on the test. But she denied everything, explaining to them that all the things they’re saying aren’t true. Everything became worse when they started taking her bag and taking out everything in it. Val was already boiling inside and couldn’t take it anymore, as she swung her hands a stream of lava appears on the ground and the girls dashed outside the gates.

     Shocked, Val rushed to her house and locked herself in her bedroom. She hears a knock on the door, it was her mother. She told her that she knew what happened earlier. She calmly talked to Valerie and started talking about what happened to her father. Valerie’s father used to go to this academy for people who have magical abilities and that he had the same ability as her. Her father was a very mischievous person and that he used the ability way too far and eventually got expelled. Her mother was afraid that it would happen to Val but she didn’t have any other choice.

    And thus she received the letter from the Academy.
