Was it really this colour or did you play around with it?

Well i did play around a bit with the colors and changed the white balance to get the purple tint. But for the rest there is nothing special that i did except cropping and reducing the noise (which is often quite high for such a long exposure).

I think you mean distortion instead of diffraction. But anyway i'm still not sure myself if it comes from the lens or from the poles that were slightly tilted. I'll never now i guess.

Not distortion. Diffraction, the middle corners are soft.

Nice photo. I love the colours. I do, however, agree with ~gravityrules . I think it would be more effective if you cropped out some of the black space at the bottom of the shot.

Thanks for your constructive comment. I've been thinking a lot about that recently but the problem is that the result without this black part looks more conventional and therefore less eye catching. At least this is the way i feel it.
Maybe i'll go there again one day to try to find a better angle...
