I used several different brushes to paint this, but I am getting an airbrush soon. I'm pretty sure I will still need to use regular brushes for detain, even with the airbrush, though.

I paint these by doing lots of thin layers of paint for shading. I sometimes use a blender/extender for the paint to build up very light washes of different colors, and I also try to work wet into wet when I can. I use a very blunt dry craft brush to shade and create highlights.

If you are interested, I can try to put together a painting tutorial.
