Fuck I love this. And I've been taken off the
favourites!! I know I faved this... once upon
a time in 2006. On the rapes I tell you.
I'm also on a big western trip at the moment
so I think we should buy duster jackets and
double barrels.

Cheers good sir.
I agree, we need duster jackets. I've wanted one for so long but the price has always been a major stumbling block.

I love westerns with a borderline sexual passion. Once Upon A Time is in my top ten for sure!

Ha, that's what my Dad calls them, but they're duster jackets. Sergio Leone probably dressed his gun slingers better than any other western movie. Apparently they were huge in France after the release of Once Upon a Time in the West. I wanted to wear one to Steph's post-HSC party, but alas, couldn't secure one.
Thanks for the comment Daz.

Not bad. Not bad at all.
I like the simplistic style. It is interesting that the picture in itself is very 2D (ie shading and character profiles), and yet the use of perspective you have used creates much depth. The colouring is also nicely done. I may have added a more saturated tan colour to add emphasis to the Western aspect of the piece, but I guess the smudges and the brown linework of the figures emphasize this anyway.
Overall, its a nice piece. Did it for uni you say? How is it you can draw westerns as self portraits? God I wish I had your assignments!

I experimented with darker browns, but I didn't like it as much. his is coming from some one who was going to submit it lead-coloured though, so you might be right though.
Yeah, haha. Well it was part of a self-portait. The requirements were a drawing, a scan or picture of an object you own and a picture of yourself. I did a western theme because, well, I love westerns. My object was a scan of 'The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly' DVD cover and the picture was my arm. I would upload it but the copyright image stops that.
Thanks for the comment mate.

Meh. Anyway, your drawing, I think, has inspired me to post some of my own uni work, ie life drawings & photographs...
