Description This mask was produced as part of a drama performance for my artmaking class. The story for the play was an Australian spin on Who's Behind the Door: At the Zoo by Michael Salmon. Hopefully you can tell I was playing the kangaroo.

The mask was made from papier mache layered around moulded plasticine, which was built up on a standard plaster drama mask. The ears are felt pieces and it was painted with acrylics.

What proved the most frustrating with this mask was getting the nose right (it went through at least three revisions), but lack of time got me and I just had to go with it. All in all, considering it was built up from a mask was in the shape of a human head, I think it decently resembles a kangaroo head, except for that damn wonky nose.

Feedback and favourites are very much appreciated. Thank you.

Are those pigs ears you used? Like, from the pet shop?

Anyway, yeah, this is pretty awesome. I really like what you've done with it. Considering it took two hours, I can appreciate what you've done. Its realistic.

Not the friendliest looking of characters though. Realistic yes, but the ears look like you ripped them from an exhumed corpse. However, I'm sure you bought the character to life - being a phenomenal actor and all.

Those are felt pieces painted with acrylics. I didn't want to get mauled by a dog.

Thanks, although when I said two hours I meant that was in-class time -- I could finish it outside. However the next week we got a wire sculpture and the play was the week after that, so we got screwed for time.

Oh, you should have seen me Stuck. I think would have got a fucking Actors' Guild Award or something.

Well you did a convincing job with those acrylics.

University people will always screw with you when it comes to time. Always.

As for your acting - remember me in your Oscar acceptance speech...

Remind me again what exactly did you do to help my acting career?

Seriously, I need to keep the length of my Oscar speech down unless I want to be remembered as another Halle Berry. I'm not mentioning arseholes who are taking advantage of my upcoming fame.
