Description Picture for the wonderful Andrea Libman, who is the voice actress for Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie.

A little while ago, I listened to the interview on Everfree Radio with Andrea Libman. At near the four minute mark, she mentions that she is, in fact, a civil engineer. Originally, she was going to move to that field when her voice changed... which still hasn't happened yet.

To quote: "that was my back up plan. I guess it still is. You know, someone kicks me in the throat, I could probably still design a bridge or something..."

Firstly, Celestia and Luna forbid the kick should ever happen, but that comment got me thinking: What would happen if we had Pinkie Pie design a bridge or something. And this picture immediately popped to my mind.

For some reason, the idea of Pinkie Pie designing a giant suspension bridge that casts a shadow over all of Ponyville and only halfway through construction realize she made a boo-boo just seemed... appropriate.

For those of you wondering what Pinkie is wearing on her right hoof, that is the Iron Ring.

The Iron Ring is a symbol of the engineers in Canada. It is a symbol of engineers having to remain ever vigilant about their work and as a reminder of their responsibilities to society.

But here's the kicker. The Iron Ring is meant to be worn on the, wait for it, pinkie of the working hand of an engineer. Visual puns are fun.

The reason there is a big chunk of sky on the left is because originally, I had a speech bubble for Pinkie there. But I ommited it because I instead ask you: What do you think Pinkie Pie is saying while scratching her head?

I love you for this. I was doing a rather boring assignment for my engineering teacher, and I searched up "civil engineering" on Google Images. I decided to procrastinate, and was doing it late at night, which didn't help my mood. Then I stumbled upon this drawing. The one pony picture to be found in what was, at the time, a sea of boring. Thank you. This brightened up my day (or rather, night).

Very happy to hear it made your evening more enjoyable. ^^ I'm surprised that this ended up on Google images.

Good luck on your assignment!

Lol, awesome awesome! I love it as an aspiring engineer.
Aerospace, but still an engineer
(The show has the kind of genius that shows that there's an engineer behind the scenes, there )

Engineering is as much a profession as it is an attitude and a frame of mind. Not only a skill set but the willingness to apply it and get the job done.

"Aspiring engineer?" That's awesome. Good for you. Good luck with that.

It's very basic, but I think you'll like this show: Richard Hammon's Engineering Connections Season 1 Episode 1: Airbus 380
