Another drawing done in one evening.

I'm getting faster. Good.

My satisfaction with this picture, appropriately enough, did a nose dive. Halfway through it, I was least satisfied, but eventually, it went back up. I can still see many things I'm not very satisfied with (there is a cost to practicing speed), but all things considered, for something done in 2.5 hours, I'm quite happy. There was a time when something like this would have taken a whole day.

This being Scootaloo, the proportions were a bit different and that was something I wanted to get right. The head had to be bigger, but I made it a point to avoid a freakishly large head. Not sure I suceeded. The angle she was supposed to be positioned in also didn't come out as obvious as I had hoped. The viewer was originally meant to be a bit lower so that her entire body pointed upwards, not just her head. Oh well, maybe next time.

The sky was fun to do. It was originally going to literally be a two piece solid colour background, but I tried to make even the simple background more visually interesting. Hope I succeeded.

Exams are coming up, so I wanted to draw something more positive.

Say what you will about the Cutie Mark Crusaders, I really like them. They embody that endless resolve and boundless optimism. They look forward to life and each day for them is always something special.

That's an attitude we all should strive for.
