Description
The blood-red Ruby is one of the traditional birthstones for the month of July, and what I consider to be the most classically romantic stone. Hence the rose theme.
Roses are a personal symbol of mine as well as my favorite flower. Since my last name is Rose, they've kind of followed me in one way or another all my life.

Oh I really like rubies. Aside from bright red being the most passionate color, I once heard rubies were thought to be closely linked to "heart's blood", and ever since I couldn't dissassociate the romance from them. Rubies=Red=Romance
