Description A heart as cold as stone and as brittle has no capacity to bend, and so it breaks, giving way to force. The heat required to remedy this flaw must come from outside and work inward, perhaps destroying beautiful layers as it goes, melding disparate elements into one flowing, glowing whole. But on occasion, if one is careful and skillful in the choice of one's raw materials, one may be able to bring forth something new, something flexible and strong, graceful in its possibilities. When one is lucky enough to do so successfully, one should take care to tend to the creation, because it is still vulnerable to the ravages of time and disuse, and if left neglected for long enough, will dissolve more thoroughly than if it had simply shattered as the stone it started from.

Speaking of, WOWZERS my writing skills are rusty. I've left them out in the rain too long, the hinges are creaky and the surfaces are pocked with the beginnings of cancerous oxidation. I suppose that with work, I can polish out the rough spots, but it'll take some actual effort.

Another photo by my friend, posted with full permission.

This ring is an intimidatingly large ring for a small finger. It should fit US ring size 6 or 7, I think, made of steel and one pale green fluorite bead. It's very hard to tell, but flourite is quite fragile, and in the process of wiring, this one seems to have split directly down the drill line. Personally I consider this endearing, a flaw that only the wearer can really notice, a reassurance that flaws and beauty can coexist and even improve upon one another.

This one is for sale, it's too small for my ring finger but is otherwise comfortable, a definite statement piece. As for the stone, fluorite is often associated with intelligence and intuition, clarity, overcoming disorganization, and protection in such a way that it allows one to feel when outside influences are getting to one. It's $50 plus shipping, not up in my Etsy store yet, so if you want this just Note me!

this feels nice like oil flowing. oil like natural olive oil. or something like this or something that needs uh fluidity. i could say like a whole bunch right here - but ill repeat myself, then get lost and write a bunch of superfluous hyperbolic metaphor words which mean a lot to me and relate specifically to what you wrote - Β and later i'll feel stupid for encroaching on what you wrote- "your space". Β the jewelry is bada&&. all of it. absolutely gorgeous and cool and the stories are cool whether they are taken as "story" or "they have deep meaning" - which i always assume stories have deep meaning. okay. i'm out. all love to you.

Thank you so much! Hyperbolic metaphor is fun, though. I appreciate all you've said so far.

I think the writing is lovely. It speaks of little truths and a sort of illuminated intensity that you so often have when you write. Wonderful piece Raz, both the ring and the writing.
