Description My gerbil friend Panda

**edit** The more I look at this, the more it bugs me that Panda is not quite as focused as I would have liked her to be. I'm thinking we're going to have to attempt a re-shoot!

Now I have to go over to the Washington State Cougar's store in Westlake Center and pick up some of that cheese. Nom! Panda is adorable sitting in the can. Did you give her/him some cheese?

I had a guinea pig. Her record was cca 250 g(half pound)tomato in a 30 minutes. And she squealed again...

Wow! The gerbils generally don't eat all that fast... they run over grab a bite or two and run off to either nibble it somewhere else or hide it for later. I didn't actually give Panda any cheese, and she was much more interested in trying to explore than she was in the treats I offered her! However... I should start timing their shredding speeds!

Yeah, gutenea pig is something else. Gerbils are similar to hamsters in their habits. ItΒ΄s interesting. ThatΒ΄s right they are explorers.I had to be very careful especialy after she had had tried to explore electr.cabel for dinner. She was angry that she couldnΒ΄t.

Yeah... I fostered a rabbit once. We were constantly following him around when he was exploring the house, because he really loved to try and chew the electrical cords. My biggest concern now when I have the gerbils out now is how interested my cats are in 'playing' with them. I'm fairly certain the gerbils would not find the cat's version of play fun.

I had rabbit too(together with my second guinea pig.It was the same. i heard that they like it because plastic things taste them very sweet.Oh little bit like Sylvestr and Tweety.

Interesting. I didn't know that about plastics tasting sweet to them, but that would explain why they're so attracted to it!

And thankfully my cats are better behaved than Sylvester, most times they really just want to watch and look. It's only occasionally that they just cant resist thinking about touching. For the most part, the gerbils just ignore them.
