I don't know if this strikes me as Mata Nui as much as it does a very souped up Toa Ignika, but in all honesty, I blame that on the Golden Ignika and the Toa Mata Nui filling my head with preconceived notions of what the great spirit should look like... Would this be Mata Nui with his full power, or half? Or like the movie version, with only the mask of life?

it looks like you used alot of parts to bulk him up, but by the end of it, the "toa" format just shouldn't be overly bulked up. Try a different format, like Brutaka or Axxon or Takanuva (Shadow Infected)

Well he was meant to be halfway between Toa and Titan, being slightly bigger than the average canister Toa but with all the bulk of a Titan.

I understand, and it's one of those things that get tricky to do. I mean, if you made hi m a little less bulky and a little taller, or even borrow some ideas from the instruction manuals from the bionicle site, you could make a pretty awesome Titan instead of going halfway.

But then again, I may not have enough pieces to make it work... Brutaka gold isn't exactly a common colour.

I solve problems like that by using the Brutaka pieces ar armor and leave the weaponry on silver, like every set does.

I like using the elemental colours for weapons... I think it suits the Toa wielding it more. Also I find tht with silver weapons, since everyone has them, it looks like anyone could pick it up and use it, while if it is coloured then it looks like the Toa could really use it to their full potential.

I understand that. But isn't essentially ever weapon piece used again for something else? If nothing else, the Brutaka Gold and the Standard Silver seem to class, so use one color for weapons and the other for armor, since that's the only sucesxfuly way to go silver AND gold

Well I think his current colour scheme works well. He has a gold weapon (which I admit could be better) and a silver shield, and his black body is covered with both gold and silver armour.

This is AWSOME you should try to add to his longer weapon so to make it into hover board if you figure a way out to make him stay on it

I have an idea, Once your done upgrading you mocs you should try to make ships to go along with each of your mocs. i have made 6 or 7 different ones for the guys iv made but none of my guys are near as good as yours.

Good ideas, but personally I prefer things which can move and pose and stuff ^^ Like evil MOCs, for example. That way they can 'battle' instead of just sitting there

Wow, a stroke of genius right there. I've exchanged all of the arms and legs (not armour) to black, and it goes wonderfully with the gold and silver. I'll post an update either today or tomorrow.

I'd say that your Mata Nui design is far superior to the one coming out later this year. There's just one single small part that's bugging me though, the spikes on the Olmak. The white completely goes against your design, you should've used some silver ones instead.
I'm not sure what your talking about with silver being an element of iron, but like gold they are their own elements.

Well, I think they're both neutral colors. They represent an enhanced status of an element. Basically, I believe that only advanced users have the colors on them and that they represent no specific element.
