Kinda late on this one, but I'm close enough... Barbie's 50th birthday was a week or so ago, but I've been kinda busy and bogged down and didn't have time to get all pretty and go to the beach... Not that I had the time today, either But lucky for me, Disney has a water park, complete with a wave pool and sandy areas galore! I didn't have to be at work until after lunch, so I got all pretty and headed out. And since it's March, I figured it wouldn't be too crowded... ha... Since it's March, they only have one of the two water parks open, which meant it was actually crowded with stupid tourists who think 80 degrees outside makes water magically warm enough to swim in (I like the water temp to be closer to 80, yeah I'm spoiled like that...) For a minute while I was driving over I got a little scared that they could tell me to leave and go home, you can't exactly come dressed up to Disney unless you're under the age of 12, and especially not to a water park, but no one took any notice and once I was in I set out to find a secluded beachy area... Which was actually quite difficult... I did find a beach volleyball court though that only had a few tourists around the edge, so I started there, but before I could get all the shots I wanted in the nice sun a group of spring breakers came to actually play volleyball, so I packed up... The only other location I could find was not as pretty sand, and quite a bit smaller, so I had to improvise to get the shot I really wanted, which was me laying down enjoying the sand. I think it worked out ok though... And for the record, high heels don't work so well in the sand Tights, however, are kinda nice because they repelled the sand that otherwise would have stuck all over my legs
