A bit of a collaboration tonight...A new friend( ) commented on my smile and made me realize I really don't have many pics of my smile, which I really like. I just feel so odd smiling into the camera with no cameraman around and nothing really to make me smile. Don't get me wrong, I love to laugh and smile quite a bit, my camera's just not mounted to catch it
. Additionally, Daniel ( ) made a really interesting comment that if the colors in a photo didn't add to the artistic value, he throws the color away... and (he didn't mention this part, I did
) I seem to always forget that black and white is even an option, I'm so used to color..Sooo, tonight I figured I'd take a b&w and show off my smile.
And I used Sam's ( ) suggestion to use the gradient map to convert to black and white.
So yay for working together! Thanks to all you guys for the great suggestions! I'm always open to any new ideas, might take me a few days to get around to it, but it's fun to try out something different

yeah it took me a minute to figure out how to use it, but I really like the gradient map, it gives you a lot more options than the way I was doing it before

I love BW personally. But...I'll admit taking good color pictures is a lot harder to pull off than BW.

yeah this one looks kinda rubbish in color just because my pj's are pink, my couch is tan and there's a blanket on the couch that's blue... sorta a mis-match of colors that are a bit distracting, but I knew I was going to throw away the color so I wasn't worried about it.
