Description
This veloran spacecraft is believed to be based on „Minotaur” type human made point destroyer (because it primary weapon works the same way), but is turned inside out.

Asymmetrans designed technology what lets them traverse space very fast. Their ships are usually ring shaped, where centripetal wall is covered by strange texture what permits whole ship to immediately jump into other place in space, while range of these jumps can be quite big (about 20 light years in single jump). Humans tried to steal this technology and installed similar made long tunnel (opened on both ends of ship) in their vessels. It worked, but not as good as it was expected. Every jump created so stress in spaceship construction, that ship what made jump, needed to be immediately precisely repaired. And after about dozen of jumps, it could be just only salvaged. But this Asymmetran jump technology was always great mystery to humans, because unlike Asymmetrans humans cannot think in 4 dimensions. Nobody even knows, where ship gets energy to jump, because it consumed far less than it looks like it should.

But someone designed weapon based on this technology (installed on the “minotaur” type destroyer). If folding space-time around the ship makes so much damage in ship construction, why not fold it in the point at front of the ship, when enemy ship is here? It turned out to be quite efficient, because it could instantly rip enemy vessels into pieces if fired properly (while only minor damage in firing point destroyer). But of course it lured attention of Velorans. They capture one of “minotaurs” and tried to copy space-time gun technology (alone Asymmetran jumping core was something what they stealed from humans long ago, on their home planet Coatlicue, together with idea of writing and mathematic system).

Result of it was this strange looking ship. They installed core on the outward wall of the ship ad fused it with space-time gun. (Humans also tried to construct both these ideas, but it didn’t work). And Velorans ship don’t get damaged so fast after jumping trough space-time. It is believed that they understood 4 dimension space better than humans, and have some idea how Asymmetran jumping technology works.
Inside this ship has a lot of long dark corridors with hexagonal section and diameter about 1,5 meter. Their inside walls are smooth like glass. Velorans can easily walk on them and looks like, unlike humans, they do not need gravity at all to feel comfortable. Atmosphere in the ship is similar to Coatlicuan. Very hot, very wet, high pressure and lot of oxygen. Biological section of ship utilizes mostly not bacteria like Human ships, but alive suspension of crystalplants cell removed from their shells. It grows very fast, so biological oxygen production of ship is much more effective, than in human ships, but also more delicate.
Spaceship bridge of veloran ships is especially interesting. They have installed there really lots of steering-wheel like things, what are used to control different aspects of ship, but all must be turned simultaneously, to make it work. That’s mean, at least 50 Velorans must be engaged in piloting spaceship at one time. But Velorans reminds ant nest in the way they form a civilization, so looks like they like to do everything in too big groups.
It looks strange that Velorans, when having good working fast space travel technology, didn’t started to instantly murder each other on different colonies (like humans will do). But Velorans have feudalism wrote in genes. For them it is as clear as daylight that stronger colony have absolute rule over weaker. And everybody is happy.

Name this ship type in veloran language can be translated to human into “obsidian handnose” (handnoses are big freshwater centipedes of Coatlicue what have short finger-like tentacles on their heads and hunt on other animals by drowning them, like do earth crocodiles or anacondas). Naming the ship type is probably habit copied from humans.
