CAN WE FINALLY HAVE AN HAPPY ENDING? YES. YES WE CAN *7*/
And now I can finally stop hoarding Gracidea and Will pics in my sketchbook. Maybe...
After putting Gracidea through hell the last two rounds, she finally gets a round that doesn't end in tragedy. Wooo!
Anyway, I certainly worked my butt of on this one. I'm really happy with how the attacks turned out. Hopefully it's clear what the ones that aren't clearly stated are |D (Thunderpunch, Wish, Future Sight).
It's so amazing to see how far Gracidea and her team have come since they set foot on the Ohana Islands. Through all the trials of the previous 8 rounds (wow that is a lot), she has grown stronger and her bonds with her birds have grown as well. And each team member developed personality, which was really cool as at the beginning I didn't know much about the behavior of several members of her team, Mikyun especially. It just goes to show, putting your characters in various situations and puzzling out how they react really helps to learn more about them and what kind of people (or pokemon) they are.
Even if this is my last round, I have had a great ride. Yeah BFOI 8U/

I know I've said this a bunch of times already but your coloring is amazing. All the attacks are wonderfully executed and you can really tell which attacks they are.
I really liked seeing Gracidea hold her own this time around. And it was really nice to see a happy ending for this (Even though I knew it was gonna happen lD) . NOW POST ALL THE GRILL! \oDo/
I wish you the best of luck passing this round. It's going to be very difficult for the judges to choose (and only 3 people ;o; Nooooo!!).

It's a pretty good conclusion overall. Though I still was kinda hoping (like before) that Draco's KO got a more splashy scene rather than a small panel with the night shade (but thats just a personal preference thing don't worry too much about it).
Also Grill, just... Grill. <33 It could have been a little risky to switch the focus so abruptly to them at the end but I think you handled it pretty well. I am pleasantly relieved Grace didn't dissolve into a flood of emotions and just go ahuhuhuhuhuWillImissYouSooooMuchasdsafsfggag in his arms. Appropriate level of drama is appropriate ouob

Um... of course one of my favourite parts has to be the dialogue exchange here between Taz and Grace. The comebacks and retorts flow so nicely >v<
btw one thing i seem to have realised by looking at the entries in general is a lot of people seem to have a few Taz scenes where she's all smug or gloating in some moments. I kinda began to wonder about how appropriate that may be considering in R9 she's supposed to be like all the way at the angry, crazy unhinged bitch who either rages and snaps at people or becomes more frosty and callous (as seen in BnR and Snazzy's entries, although Snazzy did the smug Taz thing too)... at least that's how I saw the R9 Taz based on the R9 journal.

OMG this is the most epic,gorgous,and thrilling battle I've ever seen! 8D. Gracidea takes a stand for her pokemon and how the task and missions put her through. Amazing. Also, I love how you colored Draco meteor and teleport. Again Amazing.

Whaaaa, looks like your really used the extension wisely. I think this was a wonderful round, and seeing Grace finally standing her ground (or flight?) was really amazing. I can tell how much effort you put into - but it really payed. The colors are looking amazing. And your drawings on the whole are a lot clearer than they were in the past rounds, too. Sometimes, I had problems with following the story in the battle scenes, but this time, it was really easy and shaped out. Awesome job, I think this was your best round so far. I don't think that I need to wish you luck because I'm going to eat a broom if you're not passing.

Yup, indeed. I'm feeling ashamed of my own entry when looking at everyone else's. I feel like I could have done more, but with a full-time job at the same time I guess that's the best I could do. Actually, I'm also glad I could color everything so well, even if I had liked to stretch the story a bit (because you know, I'm good at drama and such when having enough time), and I had planned only 20 pages before, so making it (sort of) 24 in total still is... good. Still, I'm feeling so small compared to everyone else... ;w;

Not only was the story really inspiring (and yay, finally a happy end for Grace!), the art style with the selected colours really added greatly to the atmosphere. Your R7 and R8 comics were already fantastic, but I think I'm enjoying this one even more.
(also I have the feeling you're getting better with the timing and paneling!)

The panel with Gracidea striking the meteor with her sword is absolutely beautiful: the way it looks like she's grown wings of her own, it's so perfectly symbolic of her journal throughout BFOI.
