Good, but stitches don't open so much or stick so far upwards even if loose. I've had over 60 stitches, loose and tight.

Attempted this with my equivalent of latex (vaseline.) It went everywhere. And I also stuck a needle in my wrist. This is epic

Initial reaction: "Blegh, looks like someone's stitches got infected..."
I had a doctor poorly stitch me once, and the end result was pretty nasty. That's kind of what this reminds me of, haha. Great job on the mold!

This is really good. With all do respect, I showed this to my father and he said it wasn't very realistic. He said that if you were being stitched up that the stitches would be really close together and less sloppy. I said that it was meant to be like you just got cut and you stitched it up yourself. I don't know if that is what the story was intended to be. I was wondering what the story behind this makeup is or if you even came up with one.

I would be VERY upset if a doctor did that to me haha! If it were my guess, I would agree with what you thought because I've had stitches and that's definitely not professional lol

Damn I thought this was real and was thinking what kind of med school failure made such bad stitches O_O
As a prosthetic this is a work of art, I'm amazed on how real it looks, but if you are looking to be realistic, you should know that doing stitches is a lot like mending clothing. The closer the stitches the better, but if all you wanted to do is a dramatic wound, then you got it 100% right.

as a medical person: This looks EXACTLY like a wound that has been closed, became infected and then swelled. So, much grosser than just a plain old stitched cut

I would imagine, with the amount of details this has, I don't doubt for a second it would be difficult. I'm actually pretty amazed on how realistic the entry wound for the stitches looks.Keep on at it, I looked forward on seeing more of your work.

The splatters of white and red look a bit odd but they add to the texture of the piece :3
Side note; are your veins really that prominent? They're so blue!
