If you haven't read my journal entry, you're probably thinking WTF and where have I been all this time. I apologize for any lack of updates or news or anything. Please read my journal for more details: fav.me/dd7njzz Just so you know, I worked on this (and little animation) for several months, using whatever free time I could get. The timing with Marichat May is a happy lucky coincidence tho.
This is probably my first and only Marichat May contribution.
Not even remotely original, but I’ve always wanted to do my own witch/familiar AU. Mari’s like any other witch but her specialty lies on crafts and fabric (no surprise there) but because her parents run a bakery, she knows a bit about food magic too. Adrien is a Cat Sith, a fae that usually takes the form of a cat. Adrien’s family is is considered a “noble”, having existed for a long time. His father, Gabriel, is currently one of the few chosen leaders of the fae. Noble fae are born with superior magic but they can also perform complex magic with relative ease, like shapeshifting. Adrien refused an arranged marriage from his father (even though fae can choose who or how many they wish to marry). He runs away, disguises himself as a cat, and eventually becomes a familiar, all just to spite his father.

If you want you can claim that the broomstick was always supposed to look like a needle since Mari is into fashion ^^
"Flying Needle" would make for a good broomstick name, now that I think about it.
I get where you are coming from. Maybe I am just to biased. I loved the design you gave Chat for your Cinderella AU. I thought it was one of the coolest things I have ever seen, so my brain probably just wants to see more of it, or Adrien dressing like a dark knight, or since he his a fary, him being dressed in a cloak of shadows would have been cool as well

I do like your explanation for why he chose this form. It's cute.
Did you ever play around with the idea of him also looking like a wizard to copy Mari`s look?
