Hi~ I'm from the contest made byΒ Β ~
I didn't know I needed this until I saw your art <3. Gorgeous and powerful!
Chat Blank looks so handsome and epic in your style and Mari is freakin beautiful here~ The hairstyle fits her.
I adore the fact that her hands end a black colour with red dots!
Something bothers me with the anatomy. Especially with her hand. It's a little too small~
The poses are lovely and badass.Β Their faces expressions are so mysterious andΒ mischievous!Β
The outfits look fantastic. I love the detail and the way how Marinette's dress moves~ Her outfit is wonderful! Especially the decorations on her arm and under shoulder blades~Β
Chat having a destroyed cape with a tall collar is a thing I need in the series!Β
The magic in their hands looks great! Amazing effects~
Them both being evil would be great! And then the rest of the heroes would have to save them.
The moon and the sky look beautiful. The cloud surrounding / circling the moon add so much mystery to the whole piece.
Good that you chose the butterflies over the bats. The butterflies were a really good choice for this piece~Β
I'm so glad I've found this! Keep doing the amazing work! You're a great artist and your digital style is really good <333

Hello !
I'm from , more specifically the weekly comment project.
Let me start saying that i'm not really familiar with the Miraculous Ladybug franchise, so my opinions on the characters and style you made them in will pretty much be only based on this piece and some of the ones i looked on your gallery as reference for your overall style.
That said lets get to commenting!
first things first, goddamn you are amazing at shading! I really love the hair in both Ladybug and Chat Noir! It's really well done and fits perfectly with the lighting in the rest of the drawing. The clothes are also excellent, the shading in the dress is simply impeccable, the only shading that feels a bit of, to me at least, would be the roses in Ladybugs hair, the light source comes from above them and is mostly red, so i feel like they should show a bit more color with the light shading.
For the proportions, i went to your gallery to take a look at how you normally draw, and i did notice that you have a tendency to draw arms thin and somewhat short in relation to the rest of the body character proportions. So i'm not sure if it is your overall style or not, if it is a conscious choice and part of your style then please disregard this part.
Take this tutorials as an example, here we can see the "normal" proportions to an arm in relation to itself, also most of the deformation that the movement in the joints may cause.
The arm to body proportion kinda comes into play when we already have a character in mind, if they are muscular, thin, skeletal, chubby, etc. So finding a specific tutorial may be a bit hard, but that's not to say they are not here on DA somewhere.
About the clothes, the dress radius looks strange, like we can see where it is supposed to be tied to her but the part in the back seems to be floating to much. Like there is wind blowing from under it, making it more balloon like than it should be. The idea of it being floating and getting part of the foreground is good for the framing of the piece, but the point of origin looks to big for the character body. I'm not sure i've explained it right..... Like the wind is coming left to right from the top to the bottom correct ? So the dress should be tighter around her waist, were the ribbon is, and flow bigger and larger the further from her body it is. The tail belt in Chat looks really interesting and is quite a nice idea, i kinda feel like the holes should either be symmetrical or have some sort of proportion to them, either growing bigger or smaller, but that's just a nitpick really. But while i'm nitpicking i might add, why not make the cape longer and make the holes and tears appear only in the bottom of the screen ? That would help frame his side the same way you did for Ladybug, not really necessary but would be a nice touch.
On the background, its nice and atmospheric, the simplicity of it doesn't take the attention from the main characters and helps sets the mood for the overall piece. And here i come nitpicking again, the moon is shrouded by clouds, giving a really nice vibe to the rest of the sky but where is the rest of that cloud ? It is pretty much just getting the moon and nothing else! Yes we can see the other clouds twirling around the MC but the one in the moon seems to exist just to perfectly block it! Best way i know how to counter that would be making the left side of the moon be a bit cloudier than the right, this way it seems like the cloud is passing by and just in this moment it looks like this, just a small touch that helps with the realism and overall feel off the piece.
PS. nice clouds they look good without looking to menacing or fake.
So overall i really like it! And would love to see more of your art
English is not my first language so sorry if i made any mistakes here, i do try to use Word to correct most of them but some do escape from time to time, and if you have any doubts feel free to ask me or other members of the Project Comment community!

Hey, thank you so much for the comment!
I can agree with the roses looking a bit weird; I often struggle with shading flowers. >.< So thanks for the tip there!
Ah, thanks for the arm tutorials! I agree that my arm proportions are often a bit off (either too short or too long), so I'll be sure to put them to use!
Mm, I can see what you mean by the dress, and I really appreciate your suggestions for both it and for Chat's ourfit!
Ah, for the cloud across the moon; I didn't really mean for that to be a cloud?? More it was mean to to be the light that the moon was giving off, but I think I left the glow layer on a bit of a too high opacity. x'D Thanks for the tips, though!
Again, thank you so much for leaving me such a detailed comment! I really appreciate it, so much!

Hello! I am from ProjectComment , and I would like to critique this piece. For starters, I recognize right off the bat these characters, and you did them justice here! This piece just looks adorable! I don't recognize these outfits specifically, but then again, I don't watch the show. You drew these outfits well, with quite a strong attention to detail. One thing that does stick out to me, however, is the gradient on Ladybug's arms. It sticks out from the rest of the clothing. One other thing about Ladybug also caught my eye at first glance as a minor oddity. That would be her neck and the placement of her head. I'm no expert on anatomy, but it seems to me like her head seems to be placed in a way that goes away from where I would expect it. Still, you drew her adorably with that pose and facial expression. As for Chat Noir, the only thing that sticks out to me is on his outfit. I get that you were trying to have his outfit billowing in the wind, but it looks to me kind of like it's being pulled from a certain point by an invisible thread. Still, his outfit looks nice, and I like the tattered cape and the belt tail. That also seems a bit odd, but I actually kind of like it. Finally, we look at the background. I like the foggy moonlight vibe you were going for, and I think it makes this piece look more endearing! Great job overall!

Thanks for the comment! I think I understand the problems you're seeing, and I'll keep them in mind! Though, I do have a question; do you have a more detailed explanation about what exactly looks off about the gradient on Ladybug's arms? I can tell that it looks a bit odd myself, but I'm not sure why.

It honestly almost looks like it was painted on her arms instead of worn like the clothing here. It seems a tad weird that it starts out red and then becomes black with red spots as it goes along her arm. That extra bit of red at the beginning looks a little weird if you ask me.

Well, it is meant to look painted on (or rather that it is a part of her skin) so that part is okay. But I can see what you mean about the red looking weird at the beginning.

I see. I was a bit confused since it seems to be the only part painted on.

xD Yeah, I was just trying to see what looked cool, and while it does look a bit weird, I also liked the result, so I decided to keep it.
