Description
Concept of futuristic katana. it was quickjob. I needed to make it in one session. No time for scabbard.Worked in 3ds max, used vray rendering engine and finished it in photoshop. Model is highpoly.
So what do you think. Do you like it or not? tnx for comments if any. bye.

tnx. you are right about texturing. no time to do it properly. I didnt use textures except blade where I put that tribal. In general, steel is one of the most difficult material to render. Mainly if you do only picture and not video. Sometimes I am able to do it better sometime worse.

Overall I like the design but I think I will give you my opinion on the blade as I am a bit of a sword romantic.
The cutting edge of the katana is a bit to short. If you decreased the spine by around 1/2 the leading edge would be more efficient in the cut (it would also result in an edge that is easier to damage but a balance is necessary in everything).

Hi mate. I am amater about swords but I am also amazed by them. And always appreciate any critic/advices from experienced people. At the begining I used to make quite crazy swords but now I preffer to do those based on realistic ones. tnx you very much. I will check it and try to repair it next time.
