I didn't want to use any blue... I don't LIKE blue. I know I suck at water (character/background interaction is an issue I'm still fighting with), but this was supposed to be a murky pond sort of setting. I definitely need to practice with water!
Thanks for the comment! You've given me a lot to think about.

Another one thats full of imagination. You managed to keep it looking playful like a kitten yet fantasy because of what it is. Vert nice color tones, may i ask how you blend them so smoothly?

Hey no problem, i enjoyed them.
I have a 250 set of prisma color, but i just cant get them to blend...well blue is my problem. I found green is easy to use, red is okay, but damn is blue a bitch, it gets all choppy and shit. But i usually work out dark to light as you said, im not too good with them. I just wasnt sure if you used a colorless blender.

Yeah, i went all out, it cost like 200 bucks for them all.
I have yet to get any use out of them lol. But blue is a bitch, and i sgree, they seem like they just dont want to agree. They get all choppy, white spots everywhere, i dont know what is use with them.

I've never been particularly fond of blue, so the Prisma line doesn't depress me. I seem to use greens and browns the most. They're the shortest in my pencil set, and the dryest in my marker set. I've been trying to earn money to replace my poor two-inch-long greens and browns. They're almost too short to sharpen!
Oh, my 120 Prisma pencils cost $120, ironically, but my 144 Prisma markers were $240. I don't use the markers much these days because my current drawing book doesn't have the right paper. I'm actually a marker artist, whose pencils collected dust for years. I was forced to use pencils just last December, and I find that I'm actually BETTER with them than with markers.

Thanks a ton! I agree, the background is weird... I wanted it to look like a murky pond.

Wow! Thanks a ton for the fav! That makes me happy.
Go ahead and do a cat mer if you like! I'm sure I didn't invent them, so as long as you don't steal my particular color scheme or anatomy, it's fine. Or, if you do draw my unique Cat Mer design, you have to do your own pose, give me credit, and link to the original. I support art, but not art theft, you know? At any rate, if you draw a cat mer, I want to see it! Drop me a note and I'd be happy to look.

You're very good at colouring! The shading is good, I like the dynamic pose also. I think the tail is my favourite part.
