It’s about time I got my Christmas present from *abosz007 up! She’s such a pretty little girl, and I was much to excited to compete with her to leave her a filly. So I aged her up so I could And she’s a Suicidal Tendencies grand baby?! HOW COOL IS THAT?!?! Thank you so much for her Cursey, I really do love this lil mare! Also I introduced a new member of DKS staff, I’m slowly showing you the staff XD

“Who’s the new girl?”

The DKS group was sitting around the rather large dining room table eating their breakfasts before they went on about their chores. “Hell if I know, pretty cute though isn’t she?” Varian grinned nudging Danny, “Why got a liking for red heads?”

“No, just…she’s new. I figured that I should know who she is. Who hired her?” Danny eyed the new girl at the end of the table; she must have come in late last night. She was at the end talking to Billie at least someone could entertain the newbie. “Most likely the boss,” a voice came from behind Danny. His head swiveled around and looked at Morrigan, “her name’s Jasmine, call her Jazzy though.”

“When did you get back?” Danny grinned at her, “I thought you were meant to be gone for a whole nother week. Assassin decide it was time to put in the towel?” He earned a glare before Morrigan sat down beside him and reached for a piece of toast. “No, it’s his vacation; he’s got a few days home before he heads back out. He needed some home rest after that Crowns stable took his win from his last race.”

“So why did you hire her?” Varian asked, “And is she free?”

“It’s a trial basis; she’s never been around horses. Well other than the odd birthday party pony ride. We met her on the plane ride home Archer was chatting her up. Apparently she thought he was the jock and I was his mother.” Blaze snorted from across the table, “mine as well be.” His comment was ignored as Morrigan went on, “and of course he was grinning so big I didn’t burst his bubble, but when she asked if she could come see his farm, I politely leaned over the aisle and said she could come and visit my farm.”

“Not bursting his bubble, eh?” Danny chuckled. Morrigan shrugged, “she didn’t seem to mind. She’s a natural though, brought her in and unloaded Assassin, granted he didn’t like the extra company but he didn’t kill her. Archer distracted her with the new mare from RPS. They instantly clicked, so I offered her a job.”

“You’re going to give her Dead Sea?” Blaze eyed her from across the table, “the new mare that you said was perfect for eventing. Who’d do marvelous? You’re going to give an untrained rider-”

“That’s where you come in Blaze, your going to teach her. In addition, Danny here too if I can sway him. I think that Sea is a one man, or in this case woman horse. She’s very selective as it is, it’d do her well to get attached to one rider and one rider only. If it doesn’t work, then she’ll be on her merry way and we’ll try someone else. Sea’s well behaved, she’s not dangerous.”

“So you’re leaving her in our care while you run around racing?” Danny glanced at Blaze whose gaze was directed at the young redhead then back to Morrigan. “I figured you two gentlemen could not only teach her how to ride but how things work here. I depend on you two to run the grounds while I’m away…also keep Varian off of her please. She might just kick his ass to kingdom come if he tries anything, and we need him for training.”

“And you promise she’s not crazy?” Jasmine Snyder glanced over at Archer who grinned. “Sea, nah! She wouldn’t hurt nobody.” The two looked over the young mare who was watching them from her spot in the field. Jaz climbed over the fence and looked back at Archer, “Your sure Morrigan doesn’t mind?”

“She told you to get to know her. Nothing is better than sitting in the field with them and talking to them. Just give her those peppermints I gave you she’ll follow you to the end of the earth. You just go out there and love on her. She’ll be your best friend in no time.”

Slipping into the mares pasture Jazzy breathed deeply, it smelt wonderful out in the Virginia countryside. DKS was a huge place, a place one could easily get lost if they didn’t pay attention. Mares in the pasture glanced up at the young woman as she walked into their area. When they’d notice she didn’t have a lead they’d go back to grazing. It took the whole walk for the young woman to believe she could actually handle a horse. Sea was gentle, she’d been told numerous times she was gentle. They told her she was full of life and spunk but she was still gentle and aware of her surroundings.

“Hello Sea,” Jazzy smiled as the mare looked her over before nudging her pockets already smelling the candies on her. “Oh I see I’m just your ticket to a treat, yea?” The mare didn’t seem too torn up about the thought.

After Jazzy’s hand was covered in the sweet sticky slobber of the young mare she sat down in the grass and watched Sea turn her attention from her to the grass. She was definitely a beautiful mare wide, intelligent blue eyes always focused on the next task. She was her own mare, in a field littered in horses she definitely stood out.

Stripping off her shoes she laid back in the grass and closed her eyes, horses were a different life. Most of her life she’d been told they were dangerous, large and unpredictable. Jazzy glanced at Sea through one eye and chuckled, at least they had the large right. There were probably dangerous horses, there might even be a few out in DKS’ own pastures. However, for what Jaz had seen she was safe here.

There was a groan and a heavy thud behind her, she jolted up and glanced behind her. Dead Sea looked back at her confused with a ‘isn’t this what we’re doing?’ sort or face. The two looked at each other for a long while before Jasmine laid back down, “I think we’ll do just fine don’t you?” The mare gave a huff in response as she laid her muzzle down in the grass and closed her eyes.

Far off by the fence line Archer still stood watch, “I think she’s a keeper.”
