They must have wanted their dead pretty much protected from something. Burials in mayan or in any other culture used stones as big as this. The most practical thing would be to just bury them the "usuall" way. But I guess that during winter that would have been nearly impossible.

Interesting. So they cremated them first, then they buried them inside this huge stones. I have always wondered why ancient people in Europe used to bury their dear dead, in other cultures, like american aboriginals, they never did that. Thanks for helping me learn a bit more.

we had ovly uncomplet KounovskΓ© Εady - lines of smaller and gigger stones and about undamaged 3 menhirs. These are only truly stone age buildings in my country. Others are celtic and not so impressiv like Β΄megalits.
