WHEEE!!!First work with the brand new Wacom Intuos4. It definitely needs fine-tuning, but it works, and my hand doesn't want to fall off!
The guy is Ples Tibenoch from the awesome webcomic of Seriously, "Hanna Is Not a Boy's Name" is wincakes with awesomesauce, I love it to pieces. Ples this far only made a cameo, but he already has a huuuuge fangirl base. *holds up hand* Member there.
Why the clockwork...? Well, Ples is always surrounded by the sound of a ticking clock. And when there's suspected symbolism, my mind tends to go to weird places.

I think I remember an old picture of Tessa's where from a bird perspective, you saw Ples' stomach area over the waistband revealed, showing clockwork. Was that the picture that inspired you?

No. I haven't even seen that picture until recently, when somebody posted it on not4chan. And that picture is an ages old concept anyway.
I based the idea on the ticking. I don't think it's the pocket watch. And currently, my theory is, that Ples has the gears in his chest, probably replacing his heart. (A bit like Kroenen from Hellboy.)

It circulates around on boards, Notably on 4chan and not4chan, in the relevant threads. And it might be up on Tessa's own Photobucket, I don't know.

A színezéssel még vannak problémáim, nevezetesen, hogy az új tablet másképp fog... XD Szerencsére a kicsinyítés sok mindent megold. Textúrák rulez.

I cheated, and picked all Ples's colors from an original art. ^^ But I'm glad I managed to use them right. For the bcg, I just wanted something dark-ish and rusty. Could have done a better job, but I'm glad you still like.

Uhh, actually I'm not so sure about the shoulders anymore, but the arms didn't come out too bad, indeed. ^^ And yeah, the clockwork was fun to draw.
