I DREW MY FAVORITE WHORE!Just kidding, that's harsh. Without Koudelka we wouldn't have Shadow Hearts. Massive respect to it, even if it is a broken and sloppy game.
Oh yeah, and Waterfall is one of the best battle themes ever.

Same with Kiss Twice and Patience from what I remember. Well, one of them was a little funky but I don’t remember which one (Even when an original is better it’s not like I DON’T appreciate a rearrangement though).
Now you’re just making me want another Shadow Hearts, man. Koudelka didn’t deserve that but at the same time Shadow Hearts does such weird stuff with its characters that I don’t mind?? Right down to going to the ‘bad end’ with Alice in SH2. We’re never going to get another series like this again.

And of course I only played it because of Shadow Hearts. I was surprised that the production quality almost seemed better somehow, what with everyone having a voice... and stuff.

I played Koudelka when I was little and Dad got it out of the bargain bin. Y'know, when cheap prices existed..
Yeah, I remember how cool it was that everyone had voices, since all the games I played was Sonic, Grand Turismo, and Final Fantasy. I was thinking on getting Shadow Hearts, but, I'm poor, and it's expensive.

I agree about Waterfall being one of the best themes along with Kiss Twice and Patience. The picture is beautiful! I love the sepia-esque tone of the piece and the detail of her bustier thing. Her eyes are stunning!

I prefer patience, the battle theme against Elaine before the final battle, but you forgot about Incantation.

I'm sad they didn't remake that with the weird orchestrated versions of the songs. They only had Waterfall and "Live Patience" and whatever the other song in the game was called.

The gameplay makes me sad.
I always felt like I was going to lose, like some strong boss was going to jump me and dominate my MANY WEAKNESSES, or that my character that was only trained with a sword was going to be screwed when that sword broke, because I hadn't found one in a really long time and had no backup swords. But none of that ever happened. Thank God it was super easy, given it was really HARD to play. Confusing statement...

I love this game! I am stuck in disc 3... my weapons inventory is pretty low adn chances of finding new weapons are scarce. I might start a new file just to fix my mistakes! XD Yeah, the game is a little choppy, but sometimes that is the beauty of old games is the old graphics and the music to match! Right?
BTW, Waterfall and Incantation Again are both amazing tracks. I like it at 3:35 when the music picks up in waterfall>.<

It's not the beauty of why you're stuck, though. xD You'll probably be disappointed when it ends too, because if you're like me, you wont be positive that you're fighting the final boss AT ALL when it's the final boss. The game ended after I thought I had beat a normal enemy, lols.
But it's charming in all of it's mistakes and obscureness. :>

Apparently it'll kill you instantly if you don't have a certain item, but it never happened to me. It's probably a really obvious one you can't miss.

It's an awful broken game. xD Plus it ends just when you've gotten comfortable with it.
I'd say to only play it after you've played the first 3 Shadow Hearts games and consider yourself a die-hard fan.

I have played it. And I love it. >.<
I've played it since I was little, and I still like it. I like Shadow Hearts, but in my opinion, Koudelka was far more better.
The main reason as to why I like Shadow Hearts it's because Koudelka and the Nementon monastery is there.
I loved the tactical battles, and the music -even if there aren't much different themes- was catchy and it made my day every time I heard it. I loved the characters too, they have personality, at least in Spanish. The voices were really well chosen.
The only thing I didn't like at all of that game was the inventory and the sistem to get weapons and armors. But the story was really good, and the game as a whole deserved some credit. Shame that it came out too late, and when it did, ppl was already thinking in PS2. But Koudelka was a good game for PS1.
Oh, and your whore comment? yeah, too harsh. I think there's a lot of female characters that look more whore than her. And given her past, I think calling her something like that is pretty bad.
Anyway, I found this from your FF7 comic. I must say that I'm liking it a lot, and I try to follow it as much as possible. It's a shame that I don't have much time to leave you some comments there, because I'm really liking it.

Stories don't sell games unfortunately, lol. The presentation, mainly that there IS voice acting, is much better than Shadow Hearts, but the game was kind of broken with battles and inventory stuff.
And it was sarcasm. xD But half true since Koudelka mentions selling her body and stuff growing up.
