How do I answer both questions?
The answer is disappointingly simple. In that: I JUST DRAW IT.
Which is because I literally do. I don't like making circles or anything first, and I don't have the patience to ink over pencil. So I draw it in pencil, scan it, and clean it up if it needs to be. That's why a lot of my pictures have those little dots everywhere. IT'S MY GREATEST FLAAAAAW.

All of the .Hack characters are a pain in the arse to draw. I wonder if that is the reason G.U was lacking in gameplay.
