Dedication to my stepfather.

My stepfather passed away this month, suddenly and unexpectedly. He was only 59. Even though I´ve had time to think about it, both before and after, and I have both written and drawn in order to feel my way about the memory of a man whom was there my entire life, I´m still not sure I´m done with it. We all said goodbye to him the day before the funeral and he was the most peaceful dead I have ever seen. I hope that in death, he found his quiet, his stillness of waters, his eternal sunshine and maybe, just maybe, a quirky little rowing boat out on that vast, gentle ocean.
