Drawing this took me about an hour. Thinking about it afterwards took me an entire day and night and gave me a headache. Some artists are a bit introverted in their work, I am hugely introverted in everything and sometimes get so irritated when I feel like I´m not being heard (albeit whispering) that everything just becomes a little bit too much. I seek refuge in my work and it welcomes me like I belong.
Sometimes, what I draw is cute and lovely and all things sugar, and sometimes it´s dark and gritty and demanding. Nightsparklies is both of these, she´s got the night and she´s got the sparklies and it all just makes sense to her. She´s not easily distressed, she´s lenient and patient. But she´s also terrifying and strong and likes to loom over things. Now she´s been with me for almost 5 years and during that time most everything in my life has become a little less dramatic, though not chaotic.
I really do like her a lot and it was about time I put her to the paper.
