Description I met this green tiger beetle (Cicindela campestris) in a moor on peaty ground. I like the english name "tiger beetle" as it really fits to its behaviour. In german they are called Sandlaufkäfer (something like sand-running-beetle).

@ Dariusz
What means "trzyszcz" in english?
Yes, it is easier in the morning is easier, but you must have luck to find them.

@ Kathrin

In Poland we call them "trzyszcz", probably because their mandibles are so large and people think that they can make special sound.
I tried to capture them during a day many times... it is very difficult but I've made 3 or 5 good shots. As I see looking for them very early or just before dusk is much easier
Very nice shot
