This is a Braconid Wasp belonging to the subfamily Cheloninae (thanks to entomologie.de) Its larvae parasitise mainly on butterfly eggs resp. larvae. Typically for this subfamily is the abdomen as some tergits of its segments are coadunated.Related content

I use a Canon 350d (Digital Rebel), Manfrotto tripod 190PROB, Sigma 180mm Makro and Tamron 90mm Makro and a reflector to lighten up carefully the shady regions. Hoping this will help you.

I got my Canon 350d (digital rebel) two years ago. But I was always interested in nature photography and the great pics in nature journals. Additinally I always enjoyed (till I can remeber) to observe insects and animals in our pond.

Out of curiosity, how long have you been doing photography?
I've been learning more & more just how new I am at it. I just run around with a little digital camera, so I suffer from the numerous limitations it has (under or above water photography being one of them. I hate the reflection I always get!).
