Roman Snail (Helix pomatia)
The picture shows one with a warn shell. it would explain the chalky coloration.

Yes, it is Helix pomatia, but sadly a dead one.
There were laying several dead snails. I think, that the weather was too warm for february and the frost in the night made them freeze to death.
