Hey Vlad,
I don't get to dA much anymore. Sorry for the year wait. She's russian. Spoke almost no english. Her boyfriend Ziggy came along as interpreter. His english was bad TV english. She wanted to be a model very badly. Very classical face. I shot the image with 8x10 polaroid cross processed to the the chocolate effect. Used swings and tilts on the camera to force the plane of focus. Built the set for the shot. Used the big windows in my studio for lighting.

This is very beautiful! Makes me think of early 1900's, hehe.. may I ask when it was taken?

Here's one from the distant past. I haven't been around dA much lately. Life changes. The photo was taken in studio in 2005. I shot it on 8x10 polaroid cross processed B&W neg with a Color receiver sheet. It's called chocolate polaroid. Using an 8x10 view camera with swings and tilts and the lens wide open gives the rest of the feel to the image.

Thank you. That was my intent. The 8x10 view camera makes selective focus easy but not with models.

Very classic-looking and lovely. It's a shame the rest of it isn't sharper, I think all the aspects of the image would work beautifully together in focus

Thanks, glad you like most of it. On this body of work I shot with an 8x10 view camera both for it's ability to use the polaroid materials I was abusing but also because I could swing the front standard out of plane and have just her eyes sharp. I did it to amplifi the mood of age.

Oh, I see! And I like *all* of it -- I was just doing a little wishful thinking.

She gives a very interesting look though. The whole piece has such a neat vibe to it. Awesome.
