Description Ahh, Pushing Daisies. This is basically the best show that is on tv at the moment (barely edging out King of the Hill, and that wont be for long it seems), and should remain for years in the pantheon of greatest television shows ever. I am not exagerating, and this is not hyperbole. This show is seriously just that great.

But its ratings are somewhat low, and it seems many of those accursed Neilson families are opting to spend their Wednesday nights watching Knight Rider (which is officially now the bane of network tv). This is a trend which must be stopped! Band together, everyone. Watch Pushing Daisies on Wednesday nights at 7 o'clock central time on ABC, or better yet online at ABC.com where everyone's veiwing is counted. We must not let this show die.

This is basically a comprehensive lineup of some of the more visually interesting characters of season 1 (I am planning on doing season 2, when its over), with the four main characters in the middle. From left to right:

Shiny Shoes Killer
Jeanine the spokesmodel
Mark Chase
Lawrence Schatz
Louis Schatz
Wilfred Woodruff III
Lemuel 'Lefty Lem' (with the one winged carrier Pidgeon, Pidge)
Elsita

The main characters:
Chuck 'Charlotte' Charles
Emerson Cod
Ned (the Piemaker)
Olive Snook

John Joseph Jacobs
Hillary Hundin (with Bubblegum the dog, man's best best friend)
Heather Hundin
Simone Hundin
Halle Hundin (all four of these women are the sister wives of a polygomist)
Oscar Verbinius
Billy Balsam
Dilly Balsam
Madeline McLean (with Bobo the Bonobo)

Wow, this took me a while, but it was worth every minute.

I suppose there was no room left for Aunts Lily and Vivian or Digby.
Anyway, this is awesome! I knew who everyone was without reading the Artist's Comments. I love how you have Oscar in there! I got quite a kick out of him. "Your hair smells like honey...and death." XD

I was saving aunts Lily and Vivian for a similar character spread for Season 2. I figured I'd spread out the regular characters instead of having the second batch just be one shots. I just never got back to the second one (I have a few characters lined, but not colored, just kind of piled somewhere in my room. The Norwegians for instance were drawn, and I thought I did a pretty good job.). The missing Digby was actually a grievous mistake that you just now brought to my attention. I am now filled with much shame.

And also Oscar Verbinius was possibly my favorite side character to appear on the show. He was supposed to come back if they'd gotten a third season, but alas, fate is cruel. And has poor taste.

Maybe, if you ever finish the Season 2 spread, you can squeeze in Digby (and Pigby!).

I loved Oscar mainly because he was played by Paul Reubens...so there was some Pee-wee Herman nostalgia bubbling inside of me every time he was on screen. LOL!

Have you heard that there's supposed to be a comic book wrapping things up? Sort of like a Season 3, I guess!

Pigby was supposed to be in it (I think I got the first three episodes of characters done, Pigby and Mother Superior included).

It was both Pee Wee nostalgia and just the fact that he played a kind of scary guy who lived in the sewers that I loved about the character. It was just a pretty fantastic role in general.

I've heard of the possible comic book, and I've even heard of possible direct to DVD movies, but it's been years since it went off air and neither has surfaced, so I'll believe it when I see it.

Season 2 started off with Betty's Bees, right? I honestly don't remember.

Well, you're pretty right about that! The way he met Chuck up on the roof was a bit unnerving to me...LOL.

The first two pages of the comic book have been released, but I haven't looked at them yet.

Yes, Betty's was the first episode.

I haven't seen anything from the comic yet; I'll have to check it out.

I thought so. I just finished up "Robbing Hood." It's getting close to the end, and I really can't wait to see what happens!

These are all season 1 characters; I was going to get to season 2, but got sidetracked. I have some of the line art done (The Norwegians, the owner of Betty's Bees, Sweet Nikki Heaps) but none of them are colored. I keep meaning to get back to it, but I've been drawing Wonder Woman characters more recently.

Thanks for the kind words. I partially did this for practice on making recognizable figures and I'm glad to know that's working.

Heh, I'm sad to. I've tried to get into other shows, but nothing can compare, expecially not even the other forensics shows.

Well, ABC is replacing it with the far inferior Scrubs now that NBC finally pulled the plug on them (I haven't necessarily always disliked it, but it's definately jumped the shark after 7 seasons and doesn't need a jumpstart on another station. Plus Pushing Daisies is just infinitely better); I'm hoping NBC may pick them up to, ahem, "return the favor." Brian Fuller is going to Heroes once Pushing Daisies is finished (for now). So I have my hopes.

Thanks. This took me a while, but it was actually pretty fun, and somewhat educational because I'm working on different kinds of faces and hair and this helped a lot.
