Thank you, I love my wide angle lens but sometimes it is difficult to take shots like this, i spent a good two hours trying to fix the distortion cause by the lens

I'm thinking about getting me a sort of adapter lense to put on my regular lense which widens the angle by a factor of .45. If I'd use it with the (widest) 18mm it would extend the angle to 8.1mm.

Do you have any experience with this kind of lenses?

well no not really, but it all depends on your sensor and what crop it is. if you reduce the angle too much you might end up with a fisheye effect and not a wide angle (of course that's not a bad thing ) I think you should try it out first in the shop and then go with it.
