Description
Tetouan is a city located on the northern tip of Morocco (about an hour east of Tangier). also a refugee city built by escaping Muslims and Jews from Spain during the Reconqista.

Apparently the city was build so quickly that the local Berber tribes called it "Open your eyes" (Tet-Ta-wan) and the name stayed.

The architecture is quite special and recognisable, the refugees brought with them all the beauty and knowledge of their Andalusian roots, apparently the city looks alot like the Arabic quarters of Cordoba and Seville.

In fact some sections of the city looked a lot like pictures of Havana which leads me to believe that Arabic influence runs alot deeper than I previously thought.
