I told myself I would not do shading in this run, not only to speed things up but to force myself to learn how to draw things nicely without shading. But I really, really love dramatic shading! I'm just going to have every scene in the Nuzlocke starting now take place during sunrise/sunset, okay.

I've never actually read ANY pokemon comic that portrays them like this. The idea that a pokemon would want to be an author or scholar is a foreign concept to a lot of people, but this brings light to a very interesting idea (that, I think, was glossed over in one of the movies), especially considering how pokemon are generally thought of as just bubbly companions with no other will than to serve their trainer. Not to mention the fact that, so far, it's really funny, well drawn and keeps me interested.

Well, most of the time, Pokemon aren't shown as all that smart in the anime, at least, and in the games it's anyone's guess. They supposedly have a language but it's usually not shown or explored outside of Plot Purposes and they usually act like companion animals. I think there was one anime episode where their language was translated? Anyway, the fact that Nuzlockes tend to have Pokemon blatantly speak English makes the entire situation really different, in my opinion, so I decided to run with it!

I would say there are stabilizers in the pokeballs, but Bristle was beheaded so yeah... I also remove the brain washers from mine.

wow, this theme you put in is just...i can't even describe it, it's very..deep might be the word, much more...different than other nuzlockes I've read, I guess because it really shows just why would do what they do in these situations... I dunno, pretty awesome, you make me want to try a nuzlocke but I don't think it would even come close to yours >.<

Hey, you should go for it! Doing a Nuzlocke isn't about coming close to anyone else. It's about having fun and discovering + telling a story that means something to you.

I clicked on this Nuzlocke for the beautiful artwork, but I never expected to find my favourite theme ever to show up! Intelligent Pokémon who want to be treated as equals to humans! Just incredible! There aren't nearly enough stories about this sort of conflict, let alone stories that do it well.

When I learned that most Nuzlockes had talking Pokemon, I assumed that the 'equality' theme would be the #1 issue on like every single one of them... but that does not appear to be the case. I'm glad you enjoy the theme too!
