Been off and on working on this for a little while yet...
While sifting through my gallery a little while ago and cringing at some stuff I'll end up compulsively redoing, I decided draw this moment from Les Misérables... when Jean Valjean makes a sincere plea to God to keep Marius safe...
I frigging LOVE this scene SO much!
I love the instrumentals, I love the emotion behind it all, and GAAAHHH!
Now... I've actually drawn from this scene already... heck, I even animalized it too!

I'll still keep it up 'cause... it shows change and development and blah blah blah, but... eeeeeeeeeeghhhhh
Anyways, THIS ONE...
I wanted to go for a kind of expression to make it look like he's actually talking/singing... It's something I don't do often; I noticed I usually have their mouths closed or open a little as though they're breathing or sighing or whatever... I haven't done anything involving possible mouth movement, and... it was a fun challenge!
He's supposed to be at the line "Heaven blessed", just so you know...
Well, I tried
Also decided to add those little black "bars" on the top and bottom to make it more... movie like?? I dunno; it was a last second addition

I may have to do more pictures like this when they're actually speaking/singing... I find it actually gets the emotion out better 'cause I SING while I make it and.... while I made this I teared up every time!

Took about... 2+ hours to sketch it out and took about 2 days to colour it... and each time I sung and got into the emotion 'cause I was drawing Valjean singing...
So yeah, long story short... I'll draw these characters speaking/singing more often
